Earthspirit Souljourns
Earthspirit Quests offers guided wilderness rites of passage journeys to facilitate people that are seeking a deeper connection to the natural world and their life’s purpose. We learn the Four Shields of human nature as a guideline for growth and understanding our inner nature. What emerges is a greater sense of Self and finding a new way of embracing who we are.
We live in a time when the world around us, and within us is changing rapidly, a time where our society has become disconnected to the natural world. We long to connect to the true nature of who we are and to discover the gifts we have to offer the world. We strive for greater clarity regarding the purpose and meaning in our lives.
Have you heard the call? The knowing and yearning to re-connect with the natural world and your Self. It’s the call to mark a transition that you are currently moving through or a previous time in your life that you would like to reclaim. Come listen to the stories that the land, the animals and the rocks have to tell. We find our own Way and place in the world when we can sit in silence, sit in stillness. We can hear the words of our story being told by the Earth in all her beauty and shadows. Creating a Rites of Passage journey is an invitation to re-birth into this new story. It’s YOUR story.
RITES OF PASSAGE
Throughout time cultures and societies all over the world have used Rites of Passage ceremonies and celebrations to mark the transitions of natural cycles and journeys in a human life. We have lost that acknowledgment of the important transitions that create forward movement in our cycles of the wheel of life. It is time we reclaimed the ability to hold space for each other in community to be seen and heard from a heart centered space. We disconnect by living in urban environments and by spiritually and/or emotionally cutting ourselves off to the world because of the overwhelm of information and input we are receiving. Rites of Passage marks and celebrates transition in a person’s life. These transitions can be many forms, from birth to death, marriage to divorce, change of job or location to letting go of an old way of being in the world. It can be the ritual or ceremony signifying the transition from one stage of life to another, from child to adolescence to adult and elder-hood. Other Rites of Passage can be ceremonies of the seasons- equinox and solstice, and month to month- full moon and new moon transitions. These reflect our cycles of human nature and the of the psyche of our inner landscapes.
